Jared Postance DOMPT, DO MRO, CAT(c)
Classical Osteopath, Strength Coach, Personal Trainer, Athletic Therapist

DCC Co-Founder Jared Postance was at one time a sought-after football prospect by many top Canadian universities including Queens University where he spent four years earning his Bachelor of Physical Education and Bachelor of Arts in Health. Jared is a graduate of the Canadian Academy of Osteopathy & Holistic Health Sciences. He specializes in applying his knowledge of the structure (anatomy) and function (physiology) of the body, to all diseases, disorders and dysfunctions. As a student of Osteopathic Manual Medicine, Jared uses a gentle hands-on or manual approach to identify problems and restore order to the musculoskeletal, respiratory, cardiovascular, digestive, reproductive, or nervous systems.

Jared has worked with all levels of sport including numerous athletes from the NHL, AFL, NLL, CFL, OVFL, CSA and many Canadian university programs. Jared also holds a certification in Athletic Therapy from York University and is a member of the Canadian Athletic Therapy Association. He began his quest for knowledge concerning the human body by earning a Bachelor of Physical Education as well as a Bachelor of of Arts concentrating on Health issues from Queen’s University.

As a competitive athlete, Jared was most recently a member of the Canadian National Aussie Rules Football program and competed at the International Cup held in Australia during both the 2008 and 2011 campaigns.


Lee Davy NSCA-CPT, PICP L2, PIMST, BioSignature L2

Over the last 16 years Lee has dedicated his life to learning the art of health, fitness and training. He attended the Fitness and Nutrition program at Humber College, has studied the likes of Paul Chek and Charles Poliquin (PICP/Biosignature) and is currently going to school part-time to become a Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine. He has also held certifications with the NSCA and NCCP as an Olympic lifting Coach.

During a 7 year span, Lee competed as a Professional/International Fitness Model compiling numerous top ten finishes. He is an avid Martial artist (Kung Fu, Ju Jitsu). Lee practices the same training and diet principles he applies with his clients while guiding them to evolutionary results. Lee has had the privilege of developing programs for many elite athletes and teams and has helped numerous stage competitors attain ‘picture perfect’ physiques.

Some of these athletes and clients include Paula Ryff (former world figure champion), Rex Harrington, Peter Ottman, Sarah Wolff (National Ballet), Jon Lavine (Philosopher Kings), Kreesha Turner (R&B Artist), Brian Ihnacak (semi-pro hockey), EMS and Military trainees, corporate executives and business professionals and those simply wishing to lead and maintain a healthy, active quality of life.


Blaise Ambrose PICP L2, CrossFit L1, NCCP Track & Field L1
Strength Coach, Personal Trainer, High Intensity Conditioning and Bootcamp Instructor
Blaise began his journey at DCC as a client in 2007 when he was preparing for a Muay Thai kickboxing fight. He began teaching his popular and intense classes at DCC in 2009. His athletic background includes varsity track & field at York University, Muay Thai kickboxing and competitive soccer.  Now, he competes in Track & Field with the University of Toronto Track Club and various regional CrossFit competitions. He is also the Assistant Coach of the UofT Junior Track Team. He is certified in Darby Training Systems Olympic Lifting, as a CanFitPro PT, ViPR and as a Thai instructor. His goals for 2013 include setting new personal bests in the 200m and 400m sprint for his age division and work towards making the Canada East CrossFit Games Regionals.

Blaise teaches various boot camp and high intensity conditioning classes at DCC and privately trains clients and small groups. He brings a uniquely motivating, intense and fun approach to his classes and sessions. The most rewarding aspect of coaching and teaching for Blaise is seeing his clients and students reach their goals and give maximal effort.


Shannon Conrad BSc., Grad. Dip. Ed., RHN, ROHP
Registered Holistic Nutritionist and Registered Orthomolecular Health Practitioner, Strength Coach, Personal Trainer

Shannon is a Registered Holistic Nutritionist (RHN) and Registered Orthomolecular Health Practitioner (ROHP). She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Food Biotechnology in 2003, Graduate degree in Education in 2006 and in 2008 after pursuing a long-term interest in health and nutrition, graduated with Merit of Distinction from the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition (CSNN). Recently she has also become a member of the International Organization of Nutritional Consultants (IONC) and completed a Biosignature Modulation Practitioner course with Charles Poliquin, renowned strength coach and founder of Poliquin Performance.

She now uses her scientific knowledge, educational skills and passion for nutrition to guide her clients to achieving optimal health and well-being. As a holistic practitioner, Shannon appreciates that everyone is biochemically unique and therefore has individual needs. She develops protocols to help clients achieve personal health goal while restoring balance and maximizing vitality and performance. Based on the results of an in depth nutritional/lifestyle assessment and hormonal profile, recommendations are focused on making better food choices, developing healthier lifestyle habits, improving digestion and detoxification, while incorporating the latest nutritional breakthroughs and use of supplementation when needed. Whatever your specific objectives are, Shannon will help you stay motivated and on track by monitoring your success, providing feedback and modifications, while coaching you on your path to a healthier, stronger you.


James DeVries CSEP CPT, DFHP, PICP L2, Bio-Signature L1
Strength Coach, Personal Trainer, BioSignature Practitioner, Class Instructor
Coming from a very athletic background and being fascinated with anatomy and physiology, it seemed right for James to pursue his interests further. He enrolled in the two year Fitness and Health Promotion program at Niagara College. After completing the program, CSEP (Canadian Society of Exercise Physiology) sanctioned James to start his career as a personal trainer. It didnt take long before he was exposed to the methods Charles Poliquin. He enrolled in the PICP 1 and 2 to learn strength training techniques, variables, and programming that would forever change his thinking/practice. James enrolled in the Bio Signature course soon after that was created and taught by Charles Poliquin. Again, opened his eyes to the science of diet and hormonal balancing to achieve optimal lean body mass and lay out the framework to live a healthier life.
A passion for health and wellness brings James DeVries to the world of personal training. He would like nothing more than to see people enjoy their lives to the fullest and not be limited by disease, excess body fat, and sedentary lifestyles. He is proud to support and encourage everybody to live life abundantly. James has been part of the DCC team since 2009 and has been able to help many people live healthier and more fulfilling lives with his knowledge, experience and passion for learning about the most current information and research in the world of health and wellness.


Matt Hodgson M.Sc., CSCS
Strength Coach, Personal Trainer, Class Instructor

Matt received his Master of Science degree in Sport and Exercise Science from the University of Victoria in 2004. He has been a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) with the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) since 2000 and a registered Personal Fitness and Lifestyle Consultant (PFLC) since 2001. Matt has been actively working as a Physical Conditioning Consultant in the Peterborough, Toronto and Victoria areas since 1995. During this time he has worked with numerous athletes and teams varying in training status from novice/beginner to professional and national level athletes.

Matt’s areas of specialization include; functional strength and power development, and sports-specific speed, agility and quickness training. His recent motivation involves establishing and promoting youth fitness initiatives. He has lectured and published articles in peer-reviewed scientific and popular sport conditioning journals, focusing on the underlying physiology of power development and the implications for motor performance. His athletic background includes elite club and varsity level rugby in BC and Ontario. He has also competed at the representative level in track, football and soccer in his youth. As a Firefighter in Toronto, Matt understands what Emergency Personnel need to maintain peak condition for testing, training and the demands of the job.


Nancy Medeiros DOMPT, DO MRO, CAT(c), Hons. BA-Kin, ATC
Strength Coach, Personal Trainer, Classical Osteopath, Athletic Therapist

Nancy is a graduate of the Canadian Academy of Osteopath and Holistic Health Sciences. She also attended York University where she graduated in 2004 with an Honours in Kinesiology & Health Sciences and obtained a certificate in Athletic Therapy. Nancy has worked with Womens field hockey, Womens Basketball and Varsity Football. In 2005, Nancy received her certifications in Athletic Therapy from the CATA & NATA. Nancy has also spent time working with the National Canadian U15 Womens Soccer team
